Redmond

Massive tech centers home to employers such as AT&T, Microsoft and Nintendo of America.  There are also 30-plus public parks.  A burgeoning local economy keeps Redmond booming.  It should come as no surprise to anyone then that Money magazine ranked Redmond one of the top five best small towns in America by in 2012.  What might surprise you: Redmond is also known as the "Bicycle Capital of the Northwest", playing host every year to an annual bike race on city streets – just one of the many surprises Redmond has to offer.

Downtown Redmond is situated about a mile north of Marymoor Park, and is anchored by Redmond Town Center, a large outdoor mall that features more than 100 shops as well as many restaurants and hotels.  Here Redmond residents can enjoy the hottest dining options and shopping in town.

Just southwest of Redmond Town Center is Overlake, home to Microsoft’s main corporate campus. Northern Redmond is a popular area for those seeking a quieter residential community. Neighborhoods like Education Hill and North Redmond feature many beautiful residential areas that are near schools, but nestled well away from major roads.

Bear Creek runs through Redmond before intersecting with the Sammamish River slough as it crosses under state Route 520.  Bear Creek provides some of the most essential salmon-spawning locations in the north Lake Washington ecosystem, and is a beautiful area, providing a gorgeous rural view for residents of Redmond’s fast-growing community.

Founded in 1981, English Hill is one of Redmond’s most prominent planned communities. One of the top neighborhoods in Redmond due to the excellent Northshore Schools and great neighborhood location, English Hill provides easy access to Kirkland and Woodinville.
